Day Care Brampton
Welcome to Peekaboo Day Care Brampton; our Sandalwood location. We are very proud of our centre that opened March 2002. Our emphasis on providing the very best quality child care and education for all children is accomplished with a team effort by all staff. We are extremely proud of our staff and the dedication they devote to the children and the Peekaboo philosophy.
Our centre accommodates 148 children from infants through junior and senior kindergarten. Our separate junior and senior kindergarten programs follow the Ministry of Education program curriculum but with lower ratios. Our centre has a gym that is perfect for the children to use on days of inclement weather and a custom-built kitchen with an on-site cook who prepares all the meals and snacks fresh daily.
Our location offers two large, safe outdoor play areas blended with grass, artificial turf, pavement and rubberized play surfaces nestled around mature trees making for a fun outdoor experience. Directly across the street there is a large park and a recreational centre with a public library for added enjoyment.
Parents at our centre take great pleasure using the streaming video provided on Peekaboo’s secure website. They can watch their children in the classroom any time during the day to feel involved and connected.
Our Supervisor Debbie Melo-Ferreira graduated from the ECE program at George Brown College in 1999. Debbie joined the Peekaboo team in 2003. Since then Debbie has had the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups in various classrooms to eventually take on the role of Supervisor in 2005. In June 2008 Debbie took maternity leave to start her own family and in January of 2010 returned to work with her daughter in tow. Debbie has a strong sense of community and family; she feels that children are our most precious asset and they are truly the foundation of our future. Debbie is at ease dropping her daughter off in her classroom every morning knowing that she will now also have the opportunity to learn and grow at Peekaboo.
